How fast do you type?
Type one sentence, exactly as written. The clock starts at your first key and stops at your last. No signup, nothing stored, and one honest surprise at the end.
Average conversational English runs about 150 words a minute, so even ordinary speech laps a good keyboard. Your hands were never the fast part. Fastspoken types at the speed you talk, on your own machine, free.

Now say it.
Same game, no keyboard. Tap start, read the sentence out loud at your normal pace, tap done. Your mic stays off, this is just a stopwatch.
The keyboard never catches up.
Say it and move.
Why we built a typing test
Because the number is the argument. Measured averages: 36 words a minute typing on a phone (Aalto University's 37,000-person study), 52 on a full keyboard (Aalto's 136-million-keystroke study), and about 150 talking in normal conversation (National Center for Voice and Speech). Thinking is faster than all three, which is why typing makes you edit while you are still working out what you mean. Fastspoken lives in that gap: it listens while you speak and lands finished sentences in any app, about two seconds after you pause, on Android and Windows. The free plan runs entirely on your own machine, works offline, and sends 0 words to a server. Your result above isn't stored anywhere either. It never left this page.
