Terms of service
Use Fastspoken for lawful things. The free plan is free. Pro is a subscription you can cancel anytime, with a 14-day refund. We provide the app as-is and our liability is limited. New Zealand law governs. The full terms are below.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Fastspoken you agree to these Terms. If you use it for an organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Fastspoken on your devices. You may not resell it, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or remove its notices. The app and its models remain our property or our licensors'.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Fastspoken to break the law, infringe others' rights, or interfere with the service. You are responsible for what you dictate and where you paste it.
4. Plans and billing
The free plan is free with no time limit. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe at the price shown at purchase, plus applicable tax. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the app or the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
5. Refunds
We offer a full refund within 14 days of any Pro charge, no questions asked. Contact contact@fastspoken.com or use the billing portal.
6. Price changes
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Fastspoken running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add, or remove features. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will refund any unused prepaid time.
8. Your data
Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: the free plan runs on your device and our servers never store what you say.
9. Warranty disclaimer
Fastspoken is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties. Dictation accuracy varies with audio, accent, and environment; you are responsible for reviewing text before you rely on or send it. Where the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act or similar consumer law applies and cannot be excluded, your rights under it are unaffected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or NZ$100.
11. Termination
You may stop using Fastspoken any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
